Data Engineer (On-Prem) - Daily Rate Contract

Randstad is currently working with a banking Client to find a Data Engineer (On-Prem) for an initial 6 Month Contract on a daily rate basis. This role is based in Brisbane CBD with WFH flexibility. Note: only Brisbane based candidates will be considered.

Contract Length: 6 Months (Daily Rate Contract)

Salary Range: $800 to $900 a day inclusive of superannuation

n

Location: Brisbane CBD with WFH flexibility

n

Key Duties:

n

Engineer and model curated Data Warehouse solutions to support business intelligence objectives and key analytics metrics.

n

Build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure data pipelines using ETL, validation, and testing methods.

n

Collaborate closely with business departments, analysts, and architects to evaluate requirements and implement data solutions.

n

Identify data trends, troubleshoot issues, and communicate insights to stakeholders at all levels to create value.

n

Maintain data model documentation, data flow mapping, and contribute to future data governance decisions.

n

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

n





Experience as a Data Engineer within an on-premise warehousing environment.

n

Strong hands‐on experience with ETL tools (preferably SSIS and WhereScape) and Change Data Capture (CDC) tools like Precisely.

n

Advanced SQL skills alongside proficiency in the Microsoft BI stack (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS) and exposure to Power BI.

n

Experience working with Azure DevOps (Git repositories, Azure Pipelines) and PowerShell scripting.

n

Strong collaborative and communication skills, with a proven ability to convey complex technical concepts.

n
