This is your chance! We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our Road Construction & Maintenance team. Operating the litter and maintenance trucks, this role is a fantastic "foot in the door" to a reliable, long-term career with the Council.

What You'll Need
n
Mandatory:
n
n
- White Card (General Construction Induction)
n
- Current "C" Class Australian Driver's License
n
n
(Highly Desirable):
n
n
- Possession of an MR or HR Truck Driver's License.
n
- Plant operator tickets (e.g., Roller, Bobcat, or Backhoe).
n
n
Selection Criteria
n
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
n
n
- Ability to cope with daily physical labour. Evidence of completed training in manual handling, load restraint, and SWMS/safe work practices is highly regarded.
n
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate small items of plant, including quick-cut saws and various power tools.
n
- A proven track record of working effectively and collaboratively within a team environment.
n
- Effective verbal communication skills to liaise with team members and ensure site safety.
n
- Previous experience with road construction and maintenance labouring work will be a distinct advantage.
n
- Demonstrated attitudes and behaviours that reflect and align with the Road Construction and Maintenance Branch workplace culture (safety, respect, accountability, and pride in our work).
n
