About the role
n
Reporting to the Tax & Treasury Manager, this role is responsible for managing Kia Australia's taxation obligations, ensuring compliance across all tax reporting requirements, and supporting the business with expert tax advice and governance.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong tax professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, improving processes, and influencing business decisions in a dynamic corporate environment.

Key responsibilities
n
Maintain and enhance Kia Australia's tax governance framework, policies, and procedures.
n
Partner with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business to obtain and validate information required for tax reporting and compliance.
n
Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impacts on the business.
n
Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
n
Manage tax-related month-end activities, including journal preparation and reporting.
n
Prepare management reporting, departmental cost centre reporting, and submissions to Kia Headquarters.
n
Support financial accounting activities and external audits as required.
n
About you
n
You are a commercially minded finance professional who can turn complex data into practical business insights. You combine strong technical capability with a collaborative, goal-oriented approach.
n
To be successful, you will have:
n
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
n
CA or CPA qualified.
n
5+ years' experience in an accounting environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
n
Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation, compliance, and reporting requirements.
n
Exposure to transfer pricing, CbCR, APA, or Pillar Two requirements will be highly regarded.
n
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
n
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
n
A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to influence outcomes across the business.
