About Us

JS Transport Group is a specialised carrier servicing the poultry and rural industries across NSW. Our Tahmoor operation continues to grow, and we're looking for a reliable casual HC Driver to join our night shift team on a fill-in basis.

The Role

n

This is primarily an HC driving role. Your main job is moving loaded and empty semi-trailers between our Tahmoor site and the Goulburn region overnight.

n

Because we run a small, tight night crew, we also need someone who can step in and cover forklift and on-site tug work when other staff are on leave or away at short notice. That side of the job isn't every shift — but you do need to be licensed, capable and genuinely willing to do it when we ask.

Primary duties:

n

n
- Transporting loaded and empty semi-trailers between local sites (Tahmoor to Goulburn region)
n
- Pre-trip and post-trip checks, load security, and compliance with fatigue and Chain of Responsibility requirements
n
- Coordinating movements across sites with a focus on safety and efficiency
n

n

Cover duties (as required):

n

n
- Operating Moffett forklift for on-site loading and unloading
n




- On-site tug / shunting operations moving trailers around the yard
n
- Filling in for other night shift staff during leave periods
n

n

Shift Details

n

n
- 3 to 4 night shifts per week
n
- Average shift length 10–12 hours
n
- Start times between 6:00pm and 9:00pm
n
- Regular nights are Sunday, Monday and Wednesday
n
- Additional shifts available at short notice when covering leave
n

What You Need

n

Essential:

n

n
- Current HC licence
n
- Forklift licence (LF)
n
- Ability to work unsupervised across multiple sites
n
- Solid focus on safety, compliance and attention to detail
n
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible about picking up cover duties when needed
n

n

Highly desirable:

n

n
- Moffett / truck-mounted forklift experience
n
- Experience with yard tugs or shunt vehicles (training provided for the right person)
n
- Previous night shift experience
n
