Engagement and Community Education Coordinator

Identity Care Australia and New Zealand (IDCARE) is Australia's national identity and cyber support community service. In addition to providing community members, small businesses, and organisations with specialist client care where personal, account and credential information is compromised, our organisation also produces insightful data and intelligence products to enhance Australia's cybercrime response resilience.

IDCARE is an office-based work environment, operating extended business hours Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm AEST.
n
About the role
n
As a member of our Business Operations and Capability Development team, you will develop and nurture partnerships, coordinate community engagement initiatives, and support programs that improve cyber resilience and access to IDCARE services. You will have the opportunity to engage directly with communities, stakeholders, and organisations to ensure our services are accessible, impactful, and responsive to community needs.

Key Responsibilities
n
- Support the delivery of IDCARE's Outreach strategy and community engagement initiatives.
n
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community groups, government agencies, service providers, and other key stakeholders.
n
- Contribute to the development of accessible community resources, educational content, and awareness campaigns.
n
- Support strategic events, stakeholder engagement activities, and community recognition initiatives.
n
- Assist with reporting, evaluation, and continuous improvement of outreach and engagement activities.
n
- Travel periodically to support community engagement activities and stakeholder meetings.
n
- Assist the CEO in preparing external communications including media talking points, briefing notes, presentations, stakeholders correspondence, policy submissions and advocacy initiatives to support IDCARE's strategic objectives and community impact.
n
With your solid background in community engagement, customer service, stakeholder relations, education, social services, communications, community development, or a related field, you are a solid communicator who enjoys building relationships and making a positive impact in the community. You are adaptable, proactive, and passionate about supporting people from diverse backgrounds.

You bring:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
n
- Experience preparing professional communications, reports, briefing materials, media content, or policy-related documentation.
n
- Cultural awareness and the ability to work respectfully with diverse communities.
n
- Strong research, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into clear and accessible information.
n
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills
n
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
n
- A genuine passion for community empowerment and creating positive social outcomes.
