We're working with a growing healthcare organisation operating across a highly regulated and evolving sector.
n
Supported by high-calibre investors and an experienced leadership team, the business is entering its next stage of growth and investing in its finance capability, operating processes and technology platform.
n
About the role:
n
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Finance Manager will provide additional leadership and capacity during an important period of organisational and technology transformation.
n
The role is weighted towards financial control and reporting, with broader responsibility across budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and commercial analysis. You will also manage and develop a Senior Financial Accountant.
n
Your key responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Owning the end-to-end month-end close process and reporting timetable.
n
- Managing the integrity of the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
n
- Reviewing the P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow statement and monthly reconciliations.
n
- Improving the quality and timing of the month-end close process.
n
- Managing BAS, FBT, fixed assets and other financial compliance requirements.
n
- Coordinating interim and year-end audit requirements.
n
- Supporting the annual budget and periodic forecasting processes.
n
- Preparing cash flow forecasts, financial models and ad hoc commercial analysis.
n
- Supporting annual resident pricing reviews.
n
- Managing aged care, retirement village and grant-related financial reporting.
n
- Mentoring your direct report and helping maintain stability and cohesion across the broader finance team.
n
n
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will need to work through imperfect processes, find information across multiple systems and take ownership without waiting for detailed instructions.
n
About You:
n
You are an experienced Finance Manager, Financial Accounting Manager or Senior Finance Manager with strong technical accounting foundations and broader commercial capability.
n
You are comfortable operating with autonomy, managing competing deadlines and improving processes in a growing environment. You can move between detailed financial reporting and higher-level analysis while building effective relationships across the organisation.
n
You will bring:
n
n
- CA or CPA qualification.
n
- Experience leading an end-to-end month-end close.
n
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capability.
n
- Experience coordinating audits and meeting strict reporting deadlines.
n
- Previous responsibility for leading and developing finance professionals.
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
n
- Advanced Excel capability and experience using Xero or a similar accounting platform.
n
- A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
n
n
Knowledge of aged care, home care, NDIS would be highly regarded. Experience within broader healthcare, childcare or another highly regulated and funding-driven environment may also be helpful.
