Position Summary
n
We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Automation (E&A;) Engineer to join our team at the Gympie factory where we make our iconic coffee brands NESCAFÉ and INTERNATIONAL ROAST.
n
In this role, you will provide leadership, technical expertise, and ownership of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Electrical and Automation (E&A;) systems within the factory, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all E&A; assets. This role is accountable for ensuring that all MES–E&A; systems contribute to business performance while never compromising safety, quality, or environmental compliance.

A day in the life...
n
Reporting to the Engineering Manager and driving continuous improvement and project delivery, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
n
Participate in Capital Investment projects, ensuring that the technical solution are delivered within the expected quality standard, timeline, and budget.
n
Prepare user and technical specifications, coordinating the requirements of the main users (production, quality, etc.), the follow up of the solution development, the pre-test, implementation, and training of operators and maintenance crews.
n
Must fully understand the technical details of the MES‐E&A; solutions in all projects.
n
Ensure Process & Equipment safety for people, products and environment and that one exhibits an attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations.
n
Ensure that the Change Management is in place to appropriately manage modifications in the MES‐E&A; solutions.
n
Ensure the application of the market and local MES‐E&A; related legislation (i.e. electrical, calibration, etc). Comply with Nestle internal engineering functional compliance audit (EFCA),
which includes equipment calibration, hazardous area compliance, electrical compliance.
n
The MES‐E&A; engineer must have a deep insight of the processes, and continuously strive for the improvement of quality, safety or efficiency while protecting the technological know-how and competitive advantage.
n
Participate in the implementation of engineering tools at site level (i.e. NSAT, NEST, AMM, etc.).
n
Ensure that all MES‐E&A; installations comply with market and corporate safety, health, environment, product safety and product quality standards.
n
Ensure that the key MES‐E&A; documentation is up to date and in place (i.e. SLD, URS, FDS, Calibration procedures, etc.). Participates in the M&I; activities in the factory.
n

Minimum Bachelor of Engineering in relevant field (Electrical / Automation / Mechatronics)
n
4+ years in similar, complex electrical and automation leadership role, preferably in manufacturing environment.
n
Experience participating in the development of engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team (preferably including different products and technologies in Electrical and Automation areas)
n
Strong leadership and people management skills; experienced in leading technical teams and contractors preferred.
n
Experience in the start-up of technical equipment and/or production lines.
n
Ability of Self-Management following defined KPIs/Objectives, and proactively tracking them
n
Exposure to Total Productive Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance Planning and/or maintenance execution desired, but not required.
n
