Position:Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
n Location:Marsden
n Hourly Rate:$50.00 p/hr + super

Maxima's Recruitment Servicesis currently seeking highly motivated individual as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for one of our government clients.

n

Primary Role Purpose

n

As a Mechanic, you will work closely with the Fleet Maintenance Coordinator and Workshop Programmer to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of light vehicles, heavy vehicles, plant and machinery.

n

n
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs of engines, transmissions (manual / powershift), hydraulic systems, air systems, brake systems, steering systems and all other mechanical and electrical related matters
n
- Carry out body repairs including minor fabrication, welding and spray painting
n




- Carry out fault finding and trouble shooting activities to identify necessary repair work
n
- Conduct brake testing in accordance with the Department of Transport authorisation
n
- Provide apprentices with on the job training relevant to their apprenticeships
n
- Compile service records on maintenance activities carried out on items of plant
n

Experience

n

n
- Confident working on small, medium and large engines
n
- Ability to work well in a team setting
n
- Confident assisting in the training of apprentices
n

n

Qualifications

n

n
- Current QLD Class C Driver's licence (HR licence advantageous)
n
- White Card or willing to obtain within 3 months
n
