Reporting to the Design Operations Lead, your responsibilities will include:Based in our Mt Waverley office, you will play an integral role in supporting the development, management and evolution of our product range
n
You will work closely with Product Designers and cross-functional teams, contributing to both new and existing designs, bringing concepts to life through thoughtful documentation and detail
n
Assist in the development and documentation of home designs across the product range
n
Prepare accurate and well-resolved design documentation aligned with briefs and delivery programs
n
Contribute to floorplans, facades, site plans, internal layouts, and design options
n
Support product management activities across both current and new designs
n
Work collaboratively across teams to deliver outcomes within project timeframes
n
Develop a strong understanding of the Metricon product suite and design principles; and
n
Stay across relevant building codes, standards, and approval processes.

The successful candidate will have: A genuine passion for residential design and creating better living environmentsA relevant qualification in Building Design, Drafting, or similarMinimum 3 years' experience in a design or drafting roleExperience in volume residential building (highly regarded)Strong capability in Revit (or similar CAD software)Solid understanding of building codes and planning requirementsA collaborative mindset with strong communication skills; andA proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
