Oaks Lake Crackenback resort are looking for a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our energetic Kitchen team on a casual basis.

n

If you have a love for cooking, a drive to learn, and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes, we'd love to welcome you to the team. This role includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts with flexibility across all seven days, including weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Food Preparation: Assist with preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes across all sections of the kitchen.
n
- Team Support: Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and smooth operations during busy periods.
n
- Kitchen Standards: Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
n
- Learning and Development: Take initiative to develop culinary skills and grow within a supportive and professional kitchen environment.
n

Shift Details

- Rotating roster Monday to Sunday
n
- Split shifts required on some days
n

n

Hourly Rates (excluding super)

n

n
- Monday - Friday: $35.15 per hour
n
- Saturday:



$42.18 per hour
n
- Sunday: $49.21 per hour
n

Qualifications

n

n
- Hold relevant Certificate III cookery qualifications and previous experience in a similar role.
n
- Knowledge of Modern Australian Cuisine.
n
- Knowledge and understanding of HACCP and OH&S.;
n
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends.
n
- Ability to work under pressure within a dynamic team environment.
n
- Ability to coach and motivate less experienced members of the kitchen team.
n
- Self‐motivated and able to work without supervision.
n
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
n
