About the Role

An exciting chance is available for an experienced Management Accountant to join a well-established technology organisation based in Melbourne's western suburbs. Working within a team-oriented finance team, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and commercial insights that support strategic decision-making.

This contract role is ideal for a commercially minded accountant who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, improving financial processes and contributing to business performance within a fast-paced technology environment. Similar Management Accountant opportunities in Melbourne's technology sector commonly focus on business partnering, budgeting, month-end reporting and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare monthly management reports, financial analysis and performance dashboards.
n
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes.
n
- Deliver meaningful commercial insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
n
- Partner with operational leaders to support strategic and financial decision-making.
n
- Assist with month-end and year-end reporting activities.
n
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy.
n
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and identify opportunities for improvement.
n




- Support cash flow forecasting and financial planning activities.
n
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes, reporting and systems.
n
- Assist with ad hoc financial projects and business initiatives as required.
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

n

n
- CA or CPA qualification (or be working towards completion).
n
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant or Finance Business Partner role.
n
- Solid budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capability.
n
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using Xero.
n
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business.
n
- Experience within a technology, services or fast-paced commercial environment will be highly regarded.
n
- The ability to work independently while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
n
