Schedule: Every Saturday & Sunday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm

Status: Permanent Part-Time

About the Role

For our residents, exceptional food is frequently the highlight of their day, as we truly believe it is one of life's greatest pleasures. Rather than someone who simply follows a recipe, we are seeking a Weekend Chef who views a beautifully presented roast or a perfectly poached egg as an expression of genuine care.

Stepping into this role, you will lead our kitchen over the weekend, dedicated to ensuring our residents enjoy delicious, nutritious, and high-quality meals within a warm, community-centered environment.

What You'll Be Doing
n
- Leading the Kitchen: Managing the meal service.
n
- Catering to Everyone: Preparing standard menus alongside specialized textures and dietary requirements with dignity and care .
n
- Quality Control: Ensuring every plate that leaves the pass meets our high standards for taste, temperature, and presentation.
n
- Compliance: Maintaining kitchen hygiene and food safety records.
n
- Teamwork: Working alongside a small, dedicated team to create a calm, efficient service.
n
Who You Are
n
- A Skilled Professional:
You hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
n
- Experience-Driven: You've worked in a quick-paced kitchen, and while aged care experience is a plus, a background in hotels, hospitals, or busy cafes is highly valued.
n
- Empathetic & Patient: You understand that our residents are our priority. You're happy to tweak a dish to make someone's day better.
n
- Reliable: You're the "weekend warrior" who takes pride in running a smooth ship while the weekday management is away.
