We're looking for a hands-on, people-focused Service Centre Manager to lead our Altona plant operation- driving performance across safety, service, quality and cost.
n
The Opportunity
n
Reporting to the Regional Operations Director - VIC, TAS & SA, you'll take ownership of a high-volume, multi-shift production site, leading a workforce of 60+ employees. This is a role for a practical, well-rounded leader who can balance frontline engagement with operational strategy and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Lead and embed a strong Zero Harm safety culture across the site
n
- Manage and develop a large, multi-shift workforce
n
- Deliver operational performance across safety, quality, service and cost
n
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and best practice processes
n
- Partner closely with customers, sales and internal stakeholders
n
- Manage budgets, production planning and cost control
n
- Lead employee relations, engagement and workforce planning
n
- Ensure compliance with all safety,
environmental and legislative standards
n
- Support capital investment planning and equipment optimisation
n
n
About You
n
You're a hands-on operations leader who thrives in fast-paced industrial environments and knows how to get the best out of people and processes.
n
You will bring:
n
n
- A trade qualification or engineering background (highly regarded)
n
- Proven experience managing multi-shift operations in manufacturing, logistics or similar
n
- Leadership experience with large, diverse teams (50+ employees)
n
- Robust people leadership capability, including IR/ER exposure
n
- Commercial understanding of budgets, forecasting and cost management
n
- An all-rounder mindset - comfortable on the floor, in the office, and influencing stakeholders
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
