Job Description
As a Finance Business Partner, you'll work closely with operational leaders to deliver financial insights, performance analysis and strategic advice that supports informed decision‐making.
n
You will play a key role in ensuring robust financial management across both corporate and service delivery functions, contributing to business sustainability, innovation and growth.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n

- Partner with leaders to provide financial advice and insights that support informed decision‐making.
n
- Develop financial models, scenario analysis and cost‐benefit assessments to evaluate strategic opportunities.
n
- Turn complex financial and operational data into clear, practical recommendations.
n
- Support business planning, performance reviews and investment decisions with trusted financial guidance.
n
- Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring forecasts are accurate, evidence‐based and aligned with organisational goals.
n
- Prepare monthly performance reports, including KPI tracking, variance analysis and key business insights.
n
- Assist with business cases for new programs, service expansions and tender opportunities.
n
- Improve financial systems, reporting and data quality while supporting compliance, audits and governance requirements.

What We're Looking For
n
n
- A degree in Accounting or Finance, with CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent).
n
- Proven experience in FP&A;, management accounting or business partnering roles.
n
- Strong skills in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
n
- The ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
n
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information.
n
- Experience using ERP systems and reporting tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, TechOne or similar).
n
- Strong analytical capability and attention to detail.
n
n
A Valuable Addition, Yet Not a Must-Have!
n
n
- Experience in not-for-profit, healthcare, aged care or government‐funded environments.
n
- Exposure to business case development or transformation initiatives.
n
- Experience in multi‐portfolio or complex organisations.
n
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)
n
- Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
n
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel for work
n
