About the role

- We have exciting permanent opportunities for experienced, hands-on Assistant Production Managers to join our team at our Riverwood site in South-West Sydney, working either morning or afternoon shifts. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of food processing operatives, ensuring production runs according to the planned schedule while consistently meeting key performance indicators (KPIs). We have exciting permanent opportunities for experienced 'hands-on' (production floor) Assistant Production Managers to work on our morning or afternoon shifts at our Riverwood site, South-West Sydney.Reporting to the Production Manager the roles will each manage a team of food process operatives ensuring production runs to planned schedule and KPI's are met. What you'll do
n

- Daily supervision and direction of a small production team under the guidance of the Production Manager
n
- Be responsible for the daily team support and review of staff performance
n
- Coordinate on the job staff training and assessment
n
- Oversee and ensure adherence to standards in quality, safety and efficiencies across the assigned production lines to meet shift requirements
n
- Ensure team compliance to health and safety standards and reporting of all near misses and hazards
n
- Maintain food safety/production records ensuring their accurate completion
n
- Ensure organization of the work area and GMP standards
n
- Oversee production lines supply of raw materials/components
n
- Conduct physical inventory checks for stock verifications
n
- Trouble shoot production issuesand escape equipment malfunctions
n
- Contribute to minimizing food wastage in the production area
n
n
Qualifications
n
n
- Background in food manufacturing/preparation and/or large volume commercial kitchen facility, operating food production equipment
n
- Sound understanding of GMP, HACCP and Food Safety practices
n
- Certificate II in Food Processing (or working towards this qualification) or equivalent(Desirable)
n
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
n
- Good interpersonal skills to work with people from diverse backgrounds
n
- Ability to give clear instructions to team and manage team performance
n
- Ability to inspire and motivate the team to realize their full potential
n
- Dedicated with solid work ethic and "can-do" attitude
n
- Able to work in fast paced production environment with changing priorities
