n Hours: 6:00 am–2:00 pm, Monday to Friday
n Duration: Approximately 3 months - With the prospect to be extended and also to become full-time.
n Employment: 3 month - Casual contract
n Rates: Base rates + OT rates + Daily travel

4VOLT Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter / Machine Tool Fitter or Fitter and Turner / Mechanical Engineering Trade for a three-month opportunity at our client's industrial site in Artarmon.
n
Our client is an established electrical engineering company specialising in electrical and mechanical services across the industrial sector. This is a hands‐on position involving the maintenance, repair and commissioning of machine tools, production machinery and mechanical equipment.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in industrial machinery
n
- Service CNC machines, lathes, milling machines and grinders
n
- Maintain conveyors, pumps, gearboxes and hydraulic systems
n
- Repair production and packaging machinery
n
- Replace bearings, shafts, couplings and other worn components
n
- Perform precision alignment of motors,
shafts and machinery
n
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and equipment manuals
n
- Machine or modify replacement parts when required
n
- Complete preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
n
- Assist with machinery installation, testing and commissioning
n

Requirements
n
n
- Australian-recognised mechanical trade qualification, such as Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, or equivalent
n
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, Machine Tool Fitter or Fitter and Turner
n
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
n
- Experience working with industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
n
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
n
- Confidence working independently and as part of a maintenance team
n
