Our client is a high-performing, privately held industrial services group providing critical services to a national Tier 1 infrastructure and construction client base.

Following a sustained period of growth, the shareholders are continuing to invest in the leadership capability, systems and organisational infrastructure required to support the next stage of the company's development.

As part of this investment, Property Placements has recently appointed the organisation's General Manager Finance and General Manager Operations, forming part of a newly established Executive Leadership Team focused on driving performance, strengthening governance and supporting continued national growth.
n
We have now been formally retained to appoint a full-time or fractional HR Manager to join the leadership team and build the organisation's People & Culture function.
n
The role
n
This is a highly influential appointment with the opportunity to shape the people strategy, improve organisational capability and make a measurable impact on workforce performance across the business.
n
Reporting to the General Manager Operations, with a dotted line to the Managing Director, the HR Manager will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to establish a commercially focused and scalable People & Culture function.
n
Key priorities will include:
n
n
- Developing a People & Culture strategy aligned with the organisation's growth objectives
n
- Building the systems,
processes and governance required to support a scaling national business
n
- Leading Employee Relations and Industrial Relations matters across a large operational workforce
n
- Partnering with the leadership team on workforce planning, organisational design and succession
n
- Strengthening leadership capability, accountability and performance management
n
- Improving recruitment, retention, engagement and workforce productivity
n
- Building trusted relationships across office-based and field-based teams
n
- Supporting organisational change while protecting the entrepreneurial culture that has underpinned the company's success
n
n
Qualifications sought:
n
n
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; professional HR certification (e.g., AHRI) is advantageous.
n
- Strong skills in HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee lifecycle administration.
n
- Demonstrated capabilities in employee relations, conflict resolution, and supporting a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
n
- Experience developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks aligned with Australian employment law.
n
- Ability to design and coordinate training, development, and mentoring programs for employees and emerging leaders.
n
- Proficiency in using HRIS and related HR tools for record-keeping, reporting, and process automation.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong stakeholder management and advisory abilities.
n
- Proven organisational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
n
- Experience within recruitment, executive search, or the commercial property sector is highly beneficial.
n
