Recruitment & Workforce Compliance Coordinator

We're seeking an experienced Recruitment and Workforce Compliance Coordinator for a four-month fixed-term contract. This hands-on role will support the timely recruitment and onboarding of educators and operational leaders across our Outside School Hours Care services.
n
Reporting to the Operations Support Manager, you'll work closely with Services Managers, Area Managers and Practice Coaches to create a coordinated candidate experience from application and screening through to appointment, onboarding and induction.
n
You'll also be responsible for maintaining Jabiru's national worker register, ensuring workforce records are complete, accurate and current.

About the role
n
This role combines end-to-end recruitment coordination with workforce compliance administration. You'll help services secure suitable candidates efficiently while ensuring all required checks, qualifications and employment information are verified and properly recorded.
n
Your key responsibilities will include:
n
- Coordinate recruitment activity for educators and service leadership vacancies
n
- Prepare and publish job advertisements across relevant recruitment platforms
n
- Review applications and conduct initial screening and interviews
n
- Maintain timely, professional communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process
n
- Work with Area Managers and Practice Coaches to identify recruitment priorities and progress suitable candidates
n
- Coordinate pre-employment checks, employment documentation and onboarding requirements
n
- Support a smooth handover from recruitment into service-based onboarding and induction
n
- Maintain the national worker register, ensuring information is accurate, complete and current
n
- Verify and record required qualifications, Blue Cards, training and other workforce compliance documentation
n
- Maintain accurate records within Jabiru's recruitment, HR and workforce systems
n
- Track recruitment activity and provide regular updates on vacancies, candidates, appointments and compliance gaps
n
- Identify and implement practical improvements to recruitment and onboarding processes
n
- Handle candidate and employee information with confidentiality and care
n
About you
n
You're an organised and responsive recruiter who understands that a positive candidate experience depends on transparent communication, reliable follow-up and efficient processes.
n
You're also comfortable working with detailed compliance information. You can maintain accurate records,
identify gaps and follow matters through to completion without losing sight of recruitment priorities.
n
You'll bring:
n
- Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition or high-volume recruitment coordination
n
- Experience managing candidates through screening, interview, pre-employment and onboarding stages
n
- Strong administrative skills and close attention to detail
n
- Confidence maintaining registers, compliance records and supporting documentation
n
- Robust written and verbal communication skills
n
- The ability to build effective working relationships with operational leaders and candidates
n
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet short recruitment timeframes
n
- Experience using applicant tracking, HR or workforce management systems
n
- Sound judgement when handling confidential and sensitive information
n
- A practical, collaborative approach and willingness to improve existing processes
n
Experience in OSHC, early childhood, education, community services or another regulated workforce would be highly regarded.
n
A current Queensland Working with Children Check, or the ability to obtain one, is required.
