AO5 Graphic Designer (Customer & Stakeholder Management)

Public Sector People are partnering with a Queensland Government department to recruit an experiencedAO5 Graphic Designer for a 12-month temporary contract with the possibility of extension. Based in eitherCairns or Townsville, this role sits within a stakeholder and community engagement team and will play a key role in delivering high-quality visual communications that support regional initiatives, public engagement activities and organisational objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

n

- Developing creative design solutions that support stakeholder engagement, community awareness and organisational priorities
n
- Designing and producing a range of communication materials including brochures, publications, newsletters, presentations, displays, maps and advertising content
n
- Creating content across digital, social media, print and video channels
n
- Providing expert graphic design and visual communication advice to internal stakeholders and leadership teams
n
- Translating complex information into clear, engaging and accessible visual communications
n
- Ensuring all materials align with corporate branding, accessibility standards and government communication requirements
n
- Managing multiple projects and competing priorities to deliver outputs within tight deadlines
n
- Liaising with external suppliers including printers, photographers,



videographers and creative agencies
n
- Collaborating with communication and stakeholder engagement teams to support strategic projects and campaigns
n
- Contributing to continuous improvement of design processes, standards and visual communication practices
n

About you:

n
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design, visual communications or creative services roles
n
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro
n
- Experience creating high-quality content across print, digital and multimedia platforms
n
- Strong understanding of branding, visual storytelling and design best practice
n
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a high-volume workplace
n
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
n
- Experience working within corporate or government brand guidelines
n
- Knowledge of accessibility requirements and creating accessible documents is highly regarded
n
- Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related discipline are desirable
n
- Previous Queensland Government or public sector experience will be highly regarded
n
