Nurse Team Leader – Sole'Vita Private Hospital, The CAPS Clinic, Deakin

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our amazing team at the CAPS Clinic Private Hospital – Sole'vita. The role will be working closely with the CEO and Director of Surgery to plan, direct and coordinate the clinical and patient services provided by the hospital.

Sole'vita is a licensed and accredited Private Hospital which has been established as a boutique day surgery where services are restricted to only a few specialties and surgeons. Sole'vita has been designed to ensure excellence in clinical care and patient comfort and is committed to providing service in a professional environment, where confidentiality and the needs of the patient are of the highest priority.

About the role:

n

Workforce planning for the hospital.

n

Manage the team in all areas of clinical rostering.

n

Participate in staff development and appraisals.

n

Oversee education, clinical competencies and mandatory training.

n

Manage the purchasing and management of supplies, contractors and serving agencies.

n

National Safety &Quality; in Health Care Standards (NSQHS).

n

Infection control and Occupational Health and Safety practices.

n

Developing and maintaining policies,



procedures and protocols.

n

Provide leadership strategies to enhance the provision of excellent nursing and clinical care within The CAPS Clinic.

n

In addition you will:

n

Play an integral role in the Executive Management of The CAPS Clinic team.

n

Direct all aspects of office management including the provision of surgical lists, and record keeping.

n

Be responsible for selection and employment of appropriately experienced personnel.

n

Responsible for the management of education programs, development programs, mandatory training and evaluations for the nursing unit, supporting and mentoring colleagues.

n

Accountable and responsible for the delegation and supervision of duties performed by clinical nursing staff.

n

You will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

n

On a daily basis you will liaise with government bodies, medical practitioners and other health professionals.

n

Minimum of 10 years nursing experience desirable.
