We are seeking an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Apprentice to join the team at Johnson Controls. This position is located in Windsorworking in the Mechanical HVAC team.

n

You will be hosted with Johnson Controls, a company that has the world's largest portfolio of building products, technologies, software, and services with nearly 2,000 locations worldwide.

Undertaking this four-year airconditioning and refrigeration apprenticeshipwill give you the opportunity to become qualified in this specialist tradewhile completing your UEE32225Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.

n

Johnson Controls is seeking a HVAC apprentice, ideally in their 2nd or 3rd year of an Air Conditioning & Refrigeration apprenticeship.

n

You'll gain hands-on experience in mechanical HVAC systems, with occasional exposure to refrigeration tasks. A great prospect to learn from industry experts and grow your career in a global company.

Job Details

Working under the direction of qualified tradespeople, duties will include:

n

- Assisting with installing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining HVAC equipment in commercial facilities
n
- Assist technicians in responding to HVAC breakdown service calls across various commercial sites.
n
- Support the completion of monthly planned preventive maintenance activities.
n




- Aid in planned repair works and installations of a variety of air conditioning systems, including system commissioning.
n
- Assist with the installation, repair, servicing, and maintenance of HVAC equipment in commercial facilities.
n
- Learn and support the accurate completion of job documentation to facilitate timely and accurate invoicing.
n
- Work safely in accordance with Johnson Controls International (JCI) safety policies and procedures.
n
- Perform duties that involve working at heights and utilising general hand tools as well as industry-specific equipment.

About You

n

n
- Willingness to learn, listen, and follow instructions
n
- Good verbal and written communication skills
n
- Keen to learn and develop skills within the HVAC industry
n
- Computer literate, with the ability to complete digital documentation and reports
n
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of hand and power tools
n
- Some prior experience in basic labouring and the use of tools/equipment is preferred
n
- Valid driver's licence
n
- Current Construction White Card (or ability to obtain)
n
- Willingness and ability to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment
n
- Ability to pass a medical examination, including drug and alcohol screening, and a National Police Check
