The Red Decker Company is a proudly Tasmanian, family-owned tourism business operating the iconic Red Decker Hop-On Hop-Off Bus, the Kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus and the Coal River Valley Explorer. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Trade Assistance to help keep our vehicles, depot and facilities operating to the highest standard.

This is a hands-on role. If you enjoy practical work, take pride in doing a job well, and don't mind getting your hands dirty, we'd love to hear from you.

About the role:

n

As a Trade Assistant, you will:

n

n
- Play an important role in maintaining our fleet and our workshop/depot.
n
- Support qualified trades people in maintaining our bus fleet.
n
- Assist with preparing bus fleet for daily operations while maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
n

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Minor bus fleet maintenance and minor repairs.
n
- Support qualified trades people in maintaining our bus fleet workshop which may include completing parts runs and collecting supplies as required.
n
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
n




- Assist with day to day operational and general duties as directed.
n

About you

n

n
- Reliable and trustworthy with a robust work ethic
n
- Able to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
n
- Attention to detail
n
- Safety conscious and a sound knowledge of workplace health and safety practice.
n
- Organised and takes pride in maintaining a clean workplace
n
- Physically fit and capable of manual work
n
- Current Australian manual drivers licence
n

n

An advantage but not essential:

n

- Forklift licence and/ or
n
- Medium/Heavy rigid licence
n

n
