The Role

n

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team, at Southern Steel QLD based in Wacol, Brisbane.

n

The right person will enjoy life on the road and be willing to pitch in and get it done for our customers.

n

The role requires you to be agile, adaptive and able to work in a fast-paced environmentall while delivering Steel to our customers in a professional, timely and safe manner. The role requires overnight trips to service areas of Capricornia region.

n

Main responsibilities include:

n

n
- Ensure material is securely restrained at all times
n
- Present to clients in a courteous and friendly manner to promote and maintain company image.
n
- Assist in maintaining vehicle in good working order completing any vehicle checklists as required
n




- Ensure that all road rules including those pertaining to speed, load and tonnage requirements and that safety rules and regulations are strictly adhered to
n
- Some Loading and unloading of steel products
n

n

To succeed in this role, youmusthave the following:

n

n
- A valid HC licence with a clean driving record
n
- Previous work experience in steel distribution/warehousing (an advantage)
n
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
n
- A 'can do' attitude to work, versatile and able to work autonomously in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
n
