Job Description

We are seeking a full Time Gantry Crane operator to work Day shift in a busy precast panel manufacturing facility based in Dandenong

n

The ideal candidate will be required to have experience in a similar role, operating a 3 movement or less, remote controlled, overhead gantry crane, and working within a precast manufacturing environment.

n

Monday to Friday with the potential for some O/T throughout the week. It is expected that you will be reliable, hardworking and have a solid commitment to working safely.

n

To be successful in this role you will require the following licenses, skills and attributes:

n

A Bridge and Gantry Crane Operators License

n

Must be able to work autonomously as well as work well within a team

n

Experience in Precast manufacturing and loading trucks.

n

Have a can-do approach and an excellent work ethic

n

Be willing to assist the other precast workers where required and carry out labour intensive works

n

Be willing to complete a medical including a drug and Alcohol test.

n





Having a High-Risk Forklift License will be an advantage

n

Key Responsibilities & accountability

n

Coordinating tools, equipment and materials each day

n

Working closely with transport manager to ensure smooth panel installation

n

Truck loading operations for precast concrete panel installation safely, accurately & efficiently

n

Coordinate daily lifting activities with crane operators and site supervisors

n

Ensure all lifts are carried out safely and in line with lift plans and SWMS

n

Read and interpret drawings, rigging plans, set out, and specifications

n

Maintain and inspect rigging equipment

n

Maintaining high safety standards and compliance at all times

n

Managing site logistics and sequencing to minimize downtime

n

Identify and manage risks in real-time on-site

n
