Are you a creative Graphic Designer who loves bringing ideas to life across print, digital and video? We're looking for an experienced designer to join a busy communications team, creating engaging visual content that informs, connects and inspires communities across North Queensland.

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Designing engaging visual content across print, digital, social media and video platforms
n
- Producing brochures, publications, presentations, newsletters, advertisements, displays, maps and other communication materials
n
- Creating and editing video content for a range of communication campaigns
n
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand communication objectives and translate complex information into clear, engaging visual solutions
n
- Providing advice on branding, creative design and visual communication best practice
n
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional quality
n
- Coordinating with external suppliers including printers, photographers, videographers and illustrators when required
n
- Ensuring all work aligns with accessibility standards and established brand guidelines
n
- Keeping up to date with design trends and contributing ideas to continually improve creative outputs

About you

n





You'll be an experienced Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to deliver professional, polished creative work across multiple channels.

n

We're looking for someone with:

n

n
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro
n
- Experience producing creative content across print, digital and video
n
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and creating accessible documents
n
- Experience working within corporate or government branding guidelines
n
- Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities
n
- A collaborative approach and strong stakeholder engagement skills
n
- Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for high quality design
n

n

Experience working within large corporate or government environments will be highly regarded, as will tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design or a related discipline.

What's on offer

n

- Hourly rates from $69.21 to $75.09 + Super, depending on experience and suitability
n
- Initial contract till end of June 2027 with 2 x 12 month extension options
n
- Based in either Cairns or Townsville
n
- Office based position with flexible work arrangements available after the initial probation period
n
- Opportunity to work on meaningful communication projects that make a real impact across North Queensland
