Aegis Screens is a Melbourne-based manufacturer and installer of premium security doors, security screens, aluminium windows and fencing products. We supply and install made-to-measure security solutions for residential and commercial customers, with a strong reputation for quality workmanship and attention to detail. Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our installation team.

Position Overview

n

We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to measure, prepare and install made-to-measure security doors, security screens and window screens into new and existing residential and commercial openings.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Measure door and window openings accurately to specification for made-to-measure security products.

n

Read and interpret installation drawings and product specifications.

n

Cut, prepare and fit frames, jambs and fixtures for security doors, screens and window screens.

n

Install hinged, sliding and retractable security doors and screens into new and existing openings.

n

Pack, shim and fix frames square, level and secure to surrounding structure.

n

Fit hardware, locks, handles and accessories to finished installations.

n

Carry out minor adjustments, servicing and repairs to installed products where required.

n

Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards,



company procedures and WHS requirements.

n

Communicate professionally with customers, builders and site supervisors.

n

Maintain a clean, organised and secure work workplace.

n

Previous experience fitting and installing doors, windows, screens or similar made-to-measure fixtures.

n

Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.

n

Excellent measuring, fitting and problem-solving skills.

n

Competent using hand tools and power tools.

n

Strong attention to detail and quality of finish.

n

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
