Senior Purchasing Officer - Manufacturing, Epping

$70,000 - $90,000 + Super | Epping | Full Time

Our client is a long-established manufacturing business in Epping, supplying specialised products to industrial and infrastructure-related customers across Australia. With local production and established supplier networks, this is a stable place to build a long-term career.

They are looking for a Senior Purchasing Officer who wants more than a routine purchasing role - someone ready to grow into a broader purchasing and logistics leadership role over time.

You will be hands‐on from day one: managing purchase orders in SAP, following up suppliers, keeping stock on track, and working closely with production and warehouse teams.

n

This is not a management title from day one. However, the path forward is real, and the business is looking to invest in the right person.

What you'll be doing

- Raising and following up purchase orders using SAP
n
- Managing supplier performance, quotes and delivery timelines
n




- Coordinating stock control, goods receiving and discrepancy checks
n
- Working closely with production and warehouse on material planning
n
- Building the relationships and process knowledge to take on more responsibility over time
n

What you'll bring

n

n
- Purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
n
- Solid SAP skills, with SAP Business One highly regarded
n
- Confident Excel and data skills
n
- Clear English communication, including direct supplier follow-up
n
- The drive and maturity to grow into a broader role as you prove yourself
n

n

Chinese language skills are a bonus, not a requirement.

n

Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Australian Permanent Residents. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

This is an onsite role in Epping, best suited to someone who can commute by car. Onsite parking is available.

n

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.
