What's The Role:
n
n
- Oversee daily transport operations to ensure safe, efficient and on-time service delivery
n
- Coordinate drivers, fleet allocation and daily scheduling to meet operational requirements
n
- Monitor freight movements and resolve operational issues to minimise service disruptions
n
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, WHS and company policies
n
- Supervise driver performance, provide operational support and assist with training where required
n
- Liaise with customers, drivers and depot staff to ensure effective communication and service outcomes
n
- Monitor fleet utilisation and report vehicle defects, maintenance requirements and operational concerns
n
- Complete operational reporting, documentation and performance records accurately and on time
n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency and customer service
n
- Work collaboratively with the depot team to achieve operational targets and deliver exceptional service
n
n
What You'll Bring:
n
n
- Demonstrated experience in transport, logistics or general freight operations, with supervisory or leadership experience highly regarded
n
- Sound understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management, WHS and transport compliance requirements
n
- Proven ability to coordinate daily transport operations, fleet movements and driver schedules
n
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support and manage operational teams
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a customer-focused approach
n
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced operational environment
n
- High level of organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands
n
- Experience using transport management systems (TMS), scheduling software and Microsoft Office applications
n
- Ability to analyse operational performance and complete accurate reporting and documentation
n
- A proactive, reliable and professional attitude with a robust commitment to safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement
