Roundtree Search is partnering with a well-established Australian non-bank lender to appoint an Associate Director - Origination, within a growing Development Finance platform. The role has a national scope.

This is a high-impact position suited to an experienced development finance skilled with a developer and broker network, strong commercial judgement, and a proven ability to originate and convert complex construction lending opportunities. Typical transactions will range from $10 - $50m in size but can be larger.

The Opportunity

n

Reporting to the Head of Development Finance, you will be responsible for originating, assessing and executing property development finance transactions across residential, mixed-use and boutique commercial projects. The role combines relationship-led origination with hands‐on deal assessment and internal execution support.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Originate new development finance opportunities aligned to credit mandate
n
- Build and manage relationships with developers, brokers, consultants and landowners
n
- Conduct high-level feasibility analysis (GRV, pre-sales, QS, cash flows)
n




- Structure senior, stretch‐senior, land and residual stock facilities
n
- Lead transactions from enquiry through to settlement in collaboration with credit, legal and risk teams
n
- Maintain post-settlement relationships to support repeat business and pipeline growth
n

Background & Experience

n

n
- 7+ years' experience in development finance, private credit, non-bank lending or CRE banking
n
- Demonstrated track record originating and closing development finance transactions
n
- Strong understanding of Australian construction markets, DA/CDC processes and valuation methodologies
n
- Established NSW development and broker network
n
- Commercial, disciplined approach to credit and structuring
n
