Communications and Marketing Officer | Aboriginal Languages Trust
n Up to $60 per hour + super | Contract until 17/01/2027 | Sydney CBD (Hybrid)

Join a NSW Government organisation dedicated to promoting, reawakening, nurturing and growing Aboriginal languages across NSW, as a Communications and Marketing Officer covering maternity leave. About the role
n
- Support the development and distribution of communications materials across multiple channels, including social media, email newsletters, website updates, and print materials, to ensure consistent messaging aligned with the Trust's objectives.
n
- Assist in managing and moderating digital channels by posting, monitoring, and engaging with social media audiences to foster an informed and engaged online community.
n
- Contribute to culturally appropriate community engagement strategies, working to strengthen the Trust's relationships with Aboriginal people and Communities.
n
- Provide support for the planning and coordination of events, initiatives, and projects, ensuring communications activities are timely, relevant, and effective.
n
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to execute communication and marketing initiatives that promote Trust programs and build brand awareness.

What you'll bring

- Demonstrated experience and ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with, and understanding of issues impacting, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in NSW
n
- Experience in content creation, delivery and community management across social channels
n
- Demonstrated experience leading communication and marketing projects utilising multiple communication channels
n
- Willingness to travel
