This role is ideal for a qualified Mechanical Fitter with previous manufacturing maintenance experience who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance, breakdown response, and working on fixed plant equipment.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities across multiple Victorian sites.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

n
- Performing mechanical maintenance on fixed plant and production equipment
n
- Completing preventative and scheduled maintenance activities
n
- Responding to breakdowns and carrying out fault diagnosis and repairs
n
- Troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimise production downtime
n




- Completing mechanical workshop tasks including machining, drilling, welding, and mechanical rebuilds
n
- Supporting maintenance improvement projects and site initiatives
n
- Recording maintenance activities accurately within maintenance systems
n
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
n
- Working across Essendon Fields and Heidelberg sites as required
n
- Participating in weekend maintenance activities and future rotating on-call arrangements when required
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

n

n
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent
n
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter within a manufacturing workplace
n
- Full Australian Working Rights
n
- Strong mechanical fault finding and problem solving skills
n
- Experience maintaining fixed plant equipment
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Strong safety focus and commitment to quality workmanship
n
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
n
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
n

- EWP Licence
n
- Working at Heights certification
n
- Welding and machining experience
n
