Maintenance Fitter – Food Manufacturing

Location: Murray Bridge, SA

$50–$53/hr + Allowances + Shift Loading + Super | $115k–$120k Package (excl OT) Full‐time | Permanent
n Looking for a long‐term role close to home? We're seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join a high‐performing maintenance team at a large food manufacturing site located just outside Murray Bridge. This role suits a mechanically solid, hands‐on fitter who enjoys variety, problem‐solving, and working with a supportive, experienced team.

- 15% shift loading on afternoon shift

- Tool, boiler attendance & award allowances

- On‐call roster with penalty rates

The Role

n

You'll be responsible for mechanical maintenance across a busy production facility, including:

n

n
- Preventative & reactive maintenance
n
- Work on conveyors, gearboxes, motors, pumps & processing equipment




n
- Fabrication & welding (MIG essential; TIG/STIG beneficial)
n
- Supporting production teams to minimise downtime
n
- Occasional weekend work (every third weekend) with an RDO during the week
n

Shifts & Roster

n

Monthly rotation across:

n

n
- 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
n
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
n
- 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM
n

n

You'll work a standard 5‐day week with rostered weekends built into the cycle.

About You

n

We're looking for a fitter with:

n

n
- Strong experience in heavy industrial or FMCG environments
n
- Confidence working with conveyors, gearboxes, motors & mechanical plant
n
- Welding/fabrication skills (MIG essential)
n
- A proactive, safety‐focused approach
n
- A willingness to learn within a senior, supportive team
n
