Danihers Facility Management is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Facility Manager to oversee the delivery of integrated facility management services at one of our valued school clients in Melbourne's north-eastern suburbs.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Account Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day management of a busy school campus, ensuring facilities, maintenance, grounds, cleaning services, contractors, and compliance activities are delivered to the highest standard.

n

Working closely with the school's leadership team, you will lead a small on-site team while building strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure exceptional service delivery.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- Lead the day-to-day delivery of facilities, maintenance, grounds, and cleaning services
n
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with school leadership and key stakeholders
n




- Conduct daily site inspections and proactively identify maintenance requirements
n
- Manage preventative and reactive maintenance programs
n
- Coordinate contractors, inductions, permits, and compliance requirements
n
- Oversee Essential Services Maintenance (ESM) compliance and statutory reporting
n
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure service standards and KPIs are achieved
n
- Manage work orders, reporting, and contractor activities using the Danihers Facility Management System (DFMS)
n
- Ensure compliance with OH&S;, Quality, Environmental, and risk management systems
n
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing in office maintenance tea
n
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, innovation, and operational efficiency
n

About You

You are a hands-on leader with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

n

You will bring:

- Experience in facilities, property, or building maintenance management
n
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance, trades, contractor management, and compliance
n
- Experience leading teams and developing positive workplace cultures
n
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

- A proactive and solutions-focused approach

- Strong organisational and time management skills
n
- High attention to detail with sound decision-making ability
n
- A commitment to safety, professionalism, and service excellence
n
- Experience working within a school or education environment will be highly regarded but is not essential.

- Current Working with Children Check.

- National Police Check (issued within the last 12 months).
