We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Lecturer in Accounting and Finance to join our growing academic team at Danford Higher Education. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who is dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching, supporting student success, and contributing to curriculum development within a collaborative higher education environment.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching in Accounting and Finance across undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs.
n
- Prepare, review, and maintain course materials, including unit guides, lecture notes, tutorials, learning resources, and assessment tasks.
n
- Assess and grade student work in a timely manner and provide constructive feedback to support student learning and academic achievement.
n
- Contribute to curriculum development, continuous improvement initiatives, and program review processes.
n
- Participate in academic meetings, moderation activities, and other institutional committees as required.
n
- Provide academic advice, mentoring,



and pastoral support to students, assisting them with their academic progress and career aspirations.
n
- Maintain current knowledge of developments in Accounting and Finance, including skilled, regulatory, and industry trends, and integrate these into teaching and scholarly activities.
n
- Undertake scholarly engagement and contribute to a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.
n

Selection Criteria

n

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

n

n
- A postgraduate qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline (a doctoral qualification is desirable).
n
- Demonstrated experience teaching Accounting and/or Finance in a higher education environment.
n
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
n
- Experience in curriculum design, assessment development, and student-centred learning.
n
- The ability to work collaboratively within an academic team while also working independently.
n
- A commitment to excellence in teaching, student engagement, and continuous professional development.
n
- Membership of, or eligibility for membership with, a recognised professional accounting body (e.g. CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand) is desirable.
n
