The Role
n
Sitting in the Incidents team, the Compliance Specialist will lead complex investigations and play a key role in assessing breach significance, preparing governance papers and ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Leading detailed incident investigations and producing clear, evidence-based findings;
n
- Assessing breach significance and advising on regulatory obligations across multiple regimes;
n
- Monitoring and interpreting changes in financial services regulation and regulatory guidance;
n
- Identifying process gaps and contributing to improvements in breach and incident frameworks;
n
- Preparing high-quality papers for senior committees and regulatory submissions; and
n
- Coaching analysts on investigation methodology,
legal reasoning and report writing.

About You
n
Our client is seeking a professional with proven financial services compliance experience, ideally in superannuation, wealth, insurance or broader regulated financial products.
n
You will bring:
n
n
- Experience in financial services compliance, regulatory affairs, audit or legal functions;
n
- Strong knowledge of Australian financial services regulation and breach reporting obligations;
n
- Exceptional written communication and the ability to produce precise, defensible reports;
n
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and managing competing deadlines; and
n
- Analytical capability to assess significance, identify risks and apply regulatory standards.
n
n
