An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Archivist to lead information and records governance within a large and complex government environment. This role will play a critical part in strengthening information management capability, ensuring legislative compliance, and embedding best-practice records management across a significant enterprise-wide project.

This is a full-time onsite position and is not a hybrid role. 6 months VPS 6 contract role.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Lead the strategic direction of information and records governance.
n
- Manage, mentor and coordinate a large records administration team.
n
- Provide expert advice across records, information, document, knowledge and content management.
n
- Ensure compliance with Victorian information and records legislation, standards and governance frameworks.
n
- Develop and implement policies, governance processes and quality assurance practices.
n
- Drive organisational change to improve information management capability and records compliance.
n
n
You will bring:
n
n
- Extensive experience in information and records management within a complex organisation.
n
- Strong knowledge of the Public Records Act 1973 (Vic), Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Vic), Information Privacy Act and Health Records Act, together with associated compliance frameworks.
n
- Experience leading and developing teams within large-scale projects or operational environments.
n
- Demonstrated success implementing information governance frameworks and driving organisational change.
n
- Excellent written communication skills, including preparing executive briefings, reports and policy documentation.
n
- Ability to work full time onsite
