Day Shift Supervisor | Manufacturing

Are you an experienced production leader looking to take the next step in your career? We're seeking a hands-on Day Shift Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturing business, leading a production team and driving safety, quality and operational performance.

n

Working closely with the Production Manager, you'll oversee daily operations, ensure production targets are met, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity across the manufacturing floor.

n

The Role

n

As the Day Shift Supervisor, you'll lead a team of approximately 20 production employees, providing day-to-day guidance, coaching and support while maintaining a safe and productive workplace.

n

You'll be responsible for monitoring production performance, coordinating workflows, resolving operational issues and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

n

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and support a team of approximately 20 production employees.
n
- Ensure production schedules are achieved safely, efficiently and to quality standards.
n
- Monitor workflow and identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
n
- Lead machine changeovers and support process improvements.
n
- Investigate production issues using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
n
- Maintain production documentation and ERP transactions.
n
- Work closely with maintenance, quality and production teams to ensure smooth operations.
n




- Promote a positive, safety-focused culture on the manufacturing floor.
n
- This role is primarily a Day Shift position; however, flexibility is required to support operational requirements when needed.
n

About You To be successful in this role, you'll have:

n

n
- Previous experience leading teams within a manufacturing or production setting.
n
- Strong understanding of high-volume manufacturing processes.
n
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, SMED (quick changeovers) and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
n
- Sound mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting production issues.
n
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
n
- The ability to make decisions, prioritise tasks and lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
n

Experience within packaging, plastics, food manufacturing or other automated production environments will be highly regarded.
