About the Prospect
n
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Finance Business Partner will serve as a crucial commercial advisor across key operating divisions. You will translate complex operational data, financial information, and volume metrics into actionable commercial strategies that protect margins and accelerate profitable growth.
n
This role goes well beyond standard financial reporting or FP&A.; Operating in a high-tempo PE environment, you will actively partner with operational teams to evaluate contract profitability, model pricing structures, optimise costs, and prepare investment business cases to support aggressive market expansion.

What You'll Do
n
As a core member of the commercial finance team, you will drive operational performance, commercial intelligence, and strategic planning across assigned business units.
n
n
- Delivering accurate, timely monthly performance reporting and operational commentary, offering deep insight into revenue drivers, margin analysis, and key performance indicators.
n
- Leading annual budgeting cycles, rolling forecasts, and scenario modelling to ensure forward-looking visibility for senior leadership and PE board requirements.
n
- Partnering directly with operational leaders to challenge assumptions, guide contract pricing models,
and evaluate customer profitability.
n
- Conducting detailed cost analysis across operational expenditure, carrier procurement, and supplier contracts to unlock efficiency gains.
n
- Developing commercial business cases and capital investment appraisals to support fast-tracked expansion projects.
n
- Identifying financial and operational risks while continuously enhancing AI, business intelligence and reporting capabilities.

What You'll Bring
n
We are searching for a commercially sharp, pragmatic finance professional who thrives under the momentum of a fast-paced, PE-backed business. You are an agile problem solver who excels at translating complex financial data into practical commercial decisions and influencing senior stakeholders. In addition, you will bring:
n

- A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Economics, paired with CA or CPA accreditation.
n
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance, or FP&A; role, ideally within logistics, supply chain, transport, or industrial services.
n
- Financial modelling and business case evaluation skills, with exposure to pricing, margin analysis, and commercial negotiations.
n
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of constructively challenging leadership to drive improved outcomes.
n
- A proactive, hands-on mindset with the agility to manage competing priorities in a rapid execution environment.
