The Role
n
This full-time position offers a diverse and rewarding caseload across medical, surgical and dental nursing.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n

- Assisting veterinarians during consultations and procedures
n
- Anaesthetic monitoring and peri-operative patient care
n
- Medical and surgical nursing
n
- Dental nursing
n
- Intravenous catheter placement and fluid therapy
n
- Blood collection and laboratory procedures
n
- Diagnostic imaging assistance, including radiography
n
- Hospital patient monitoring
n
- Client education and treatment plan discussions
n
n
Veterinary nurses are encouraged to take ownership of patient care, work collaboratively with the veterinary team and contribute ideas that enhance clinical standards and practice efficiency.

About You
n
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
n
n
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
n
- A minimum of two years' experience in a small animal practice
n
- Confidence across medical, surgical and hospital nursing
n
- Excellent communication and client service skills
n
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
n
- A proactive approach with a genuine desire to continue learning and developing professionally
n
- The ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment
n
n
An interest in areas such as stock management, workflow improvement or practice development will be well supported.
n
