n Reports to: Centre Manager & ECT
n Job Title: Early Childhood Teacher
n Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000 + Superannuation
n Job Closure date: 30 days

About This Role
n
On behalf of our client, we are pleased to introduce a warm and nurturing early learning centre located in Arana Hills. The centre is dedicated to fostering a lifelong love of learning through a supportive, play-based environment where every child is encouraged to explore, grow, and develop confidence.
n
Operating as a close-knit community, the centre accommodates children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. It is committed to the highest standards, consistently meeting the National Quality Standard to deliver exceptional care and education
n
Key Duties & Responsibilities
n
Curriculum & Pedagogy
n
n
- Design, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive educational program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the service's philosophy.
n
- Employ intentional teaching strategies within a play-based learning environment to foster cognitive, social, and emotional development.
n
- Lead engaging learning experiences across key domains, including literacy, numeracy, creative arts, and physical activity.
n
n
Assessment & Documentation
n
n
- Conduct detailed observations and use critical reflection to assess children's learning and progress against individual and group goals.
n
- Create rich and detailed portfolios and learning stories that make children's learning visible to families and colleagues.
n
- Use documented evidence to plan forward and ensure a dynamic, responsive curriculum.
n
n
Leadership & Mentorship
n
n
- Provide guidance and support to other educators within the room, modelling best practices in early childhood teaching.
n
- Contribute to a collaborative culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice among the teaching team.
n
n
Family & Community Partnership
n
n
- Build strong, respectful, and collaborative partnerships with families through formal and informal communication.
n
- Lead family-teacher meetings and discussions about child development and learning goals.
n
- Actively participate in community events and centre initiatives to strengthen community ties.
n
n
Compliance & Professionalism
n
n
- Ensure all practices meet the National Quality Standard and relevant regulatory requirements.
n
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all children.
n
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the service's quality improvement plan.
n
n
Skills & Requirements
n
n
- A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) is essential.
n
- A current and valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration.
n
- Proven experience as an Early Childhood Teacher within a long day care or similar setting.
n
- Deep knowledge and practical application of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
n
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
n
- Current First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certification (HLTAID012).
n
- A valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
n
- Proof of up-to-date vaccination status as per service policy.
n
n
