The Long Gallery Psychologists is a family-owned psychology practice based in Moggill, Queensland. The practice is committed to delivering the highest standard of care through the use of evidence-based psychological practices. About You :

- Postgraduate qualification in Psychology (Master’s or Doctoral level).
- General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Eligibility for Medicare provider status.
- Ongoing compliance with AHPRA CPD and professional standards.

Position Summary :

The Psychologist provides evidence-based assessment, intervention, and therapeutic services to clients of all ages presenting with neurodevelopmental, cognitive, or mental health needs. Working autonomously yet collaboratively within The Long Gallery’s multidisciplinary team, the Psychologist delivers high-quality, ethical care aligned with best practice and the clinic’s commitment to client wellbeing and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements :

- Minimum of two to three years’ post-registration experience as a Psychologist.
- Demonstrated experience in private practice, health,



or educational settings.
- Proven ability to manage a diverse clinical caseload independently.

Job Responsibility :

Assessment and Diagnosis

Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for emotional, cognitive, developmental, and behavioural presentations.

Utilise validated tools and clinical interviews to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Prepare high-quality reports and provide clear feedback to clients, families, and referrers.

Therapeutic Intervention





Design and implement individualised, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.

Deliver therapy using appropriate modalities (e.g., CBT, ACT, DBT, play-based or family systems).

Monitor and document progress, adjusting interventions to optimise outcomes.

Case Management and Collaboration

Participate in multidisciplinary discussions to ensure coordinated, holistic care.

Liaise with educators, medical practitioners, allied health professionals, and community supports.

Contribute to clinical handovers, referrals, and inter-agency communication where required.

Professional Practice and Compliance

Maintain accurate, confidential records in accordance with AHPRA, APS, and The Long Gallery policies.

Uphold ethical standards and manage risk in line with legislative and professional obligations.

Maintain a current Medicare provider number and professional indemnity insurance.

Continuous Improvement and Professional Development

Engage in ongoing professional development exceeding minimum CPD requirements.

Participate in peer consultation, reflective practice, and supervision (as relevant).

Support the clinic’s continuous improvement goals through innovation and quality feedback.

Community and Practice Engagement

Promote The Long Gallery’s services through GP liaison, education sessions, and outreach initiatives.

Contribute to content or resources that enhance community mental health awareness.

Act as an ambassador for the practice’s values and qualified reputation.
