About the Opportunity
n
This is a site leadership role within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure supporting tissue processing, manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution.
n
As the HSE Manager, you will take ownership of the site's Work Health & Safety, environmental compliance, and facilities operations, ensuring full alignment with TGA, GMP, and WHS regulatory requirements.
n
You will play a key role in maintaining site integrity, enabling production continuity, and supporting a highly regulated healthcare manufacturing environment.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
GMP Facility & Site Operations
n
n
- Oversee maintenance and integrity of building systems including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, structural, and HVAC
n
- Manage GMP-critical infrastructure including cleanrooms, environmental monitoring systems, and temperature-controlled storage
n
- Lead preventative maintenance programs to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations
n
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, and capital works projects across the site
n
n
Work Health & Safety Leadership
n
n
- Lead the site WHS function, including risk management, hazard identification, and incident investigations
n
- Maintain WHS management systems, policies, and compliance frameworks
n
- Conduct audits, inspections, safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks
n
- Chair WHS committee meetings and drive corrective and preventative actions
n
n
Site Services & Compliance
n
n
- Manage waste streams including clinical and biohazard waste, pest control, cleaning, and security services
n
- Ensure compliance with GMP, TGA, ISO,
and WHS regulatory requirements
n
- Oversee facility budgets, supplier performance, and service contracts
n
- Support utilities continuity and critical infrastructure resiliene
n
n
About You You are a hands-on Facilities, HSE, or Site Operations qualified who thrives in regulated, high-compliance environments. You are confident working across WHS, infrastructure, and contractor management in operational settings.

You will bring:
n
n
- 4+ years' experience in facilities, HSE, or site operations roles
n
- Exposure to GMP, TGA, ISO, or other regulated environments (highly regarded)
n
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and incident management
n
- Experience managing contractors, maintenance, and site services
n
- Exposure to building systems, HVAC, or critical infrastructure (advantageous)
n
- Relevant qualification in WHS, facilities, engineering, or related discipline
n
- Car licence and flexibility for occasional out-of-hours support
n
