VMware Consultant

n

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Design and implement standard VMware solutions
n
- Lead small projects or workstreams
n
- Manage VMware infrastructure including compute, storage, and networking
n
- Handle cluster configurations and performance tuning
n
- Support hybrid/cloud-based VMware environments
n
- Create and maintain technical documentation
n

n

Required Skills:

n

n
- Robust hands-on experience with VMware vSphere
n




- Solid understanding of HA, DRS, lifecycle management
n
- Experience with distributed switches and NIC teaming
n
- Storage knowledge including SAN/NAS and VMware vSAN
n
- Exposure to VMware NSX (basic to intermediate)
n
- Backup/DR solutions and cloud platforms (VMware Cloud, Azure VMware Solution, etc.)
n

n

Troubleshooting Skills:

n

n
- Diagnose CPU, memory, and storage performance issues
n
- Resolve cluster, host, and network configuration issues
n
- Log analysis and root cause identification
n

n

Certifications:

n

n
- VCP (mandatory), working towards VCAP preferred
n

n

Additional Notes:

- Expected to deliver independently
n
- Strong ownership of assigned tasks/projects
