Senior Quality Assurance Coordinator / Deputy QA Manager

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance Coordinator / Deputy QA Manager to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Wetherill Park, Sydney.

About the Role

n

You will work closely with the QA Manager and provide leadership across quality, food safety and compliance programs within a large bakery manufacturing operation supplying major Australian retailers.

n

This role is designed as a succession and leadership position with responsibility for supporting the QA Manager and acting as deputy during periods of leave and flexible work arrangements.

n

Key Responsibilities

Food Safety & Quality Systems

n

n
- Support SQF System management
n
- HACCP Team participation and leadership
n
- Internal audit management
n
- Customer complaint investigations
n
- Corrective Action and Preventive Action management
n
- Product release oversight
n

n

Audit & Compliance

n

n
- Lead external audits
n
- Manage corrective action programs
n
- Ensure ongoing compliance with SQF
n
- Ensure ongoing compliance with HACCP
n




- Ensure ongoing compliance with Woolworths Quality Standards
n
- Ensure ongoing compliance with Export requirements
n
- Ensure ongoing compliance with RSPO requirements
n
- Mentor QA Coordinators and QA Officers
n
- Support training programs
n
- Coordinate workload across QA team
n
- Act as QA Manager when required
n

Technical Responsibilities

n

- Product specifications
n
- Artwork approval
n
- Validation and verification activities
n
- KPI and trend analysis
n
- Minimum 5 years food manufacturing QA experience
n
- Minimum 2 years in a senior QA role
n
- Strong HACCP knowledge
n
- Experience with SQF certification
n
- Strong leadership and communication skills
n

Highly Desirable

- Experience with Woolworths and Coles supplier requirements
n
- Experience in bakery, FMCG or ready-to-eat food manufacturing
n
- Experience with export compliance
n
- Experience using Excel, databases or reporting systems
