Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Train Driver to support rail operations at a major mining operation in Weipa, Far North Queensland. These site-based contract roles are available due to operational requirements and offer robust extension potential. GL class locomotive experience is desirable, with site-based familiarisation available for suitably qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate locomotives in line with rail, site, and safety procedures
n
- Shunting and wagon movements
n
- Changing rail switches and hosing down ore wagons
n
- Routine inspections and general rail duties
n
- Compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational requirements
n

Mandatory Requirements

n

n
- Certificate IV in Train Driving
n
- Current Category 1 Rail Medical
n
- Ability to pass site medical, drug & alcohol, and background checks
n
- Strong safety focus and ability to work on a remote site
n
