Job Description

We are seeking 2 Principal Java/Bespoke Software Engineers (EL2 Equivalent) to support and enhance NEXUS, platform for our Federal Government Client.

- Australian Citizenship (Essential)

- Ability to obtain or hold Baseline Security Clearance
n
- Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call roster for a critical lifeline application
n

- Work-from-home flexibility available

- Sydney-based candidates able to travel may be considered

Contract

- 12-month initial engagement
n
- 2 x 12-month extension options
n
- Up to 40 hours per week

- Start: September 2026

Key Skills Required

n

- 8+ years Java development experience
n
- Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, Java EE
n
- REST APIs, SOAP Services, OpenAPI, XML/JSON
n
- AWS (EC2, Lambda,



API Gateway, S3, SQS, CloudFormation)
n
- Oracle Database, Data Modelling, PL/SQL
n
- ReactJS, HTML, CSS
n
- Linux/Unix and Bash Scripting
n
- CI/CD using Jenkins, Git, Maven and Ant
n
- Enterprise application design and development
n

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications
n
- Support AMSA's NEXUS cloud and backend systems
n
- Design and implement AWS-based integrations
n
- Build and maintain Oracle database solutions
n
- Produce technical documentation and design artefacts
n
- Participate in software releases and operational support activities
n
