Rocky Point Sugar Mill—one of Queensland's oldest continuously operating sugar mills is seeking a skilled and reliable Sugar Boiler to join our production team for the current crushing season.

As a key member of the operations crew, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and protected manufacture of high-quality raw sugar. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced sugar industry professionals looking for a hands‐on role in a well‐established regional business.

Job Opportunity: Sugar Boiler – Rocky Point Sugar Mill, Queensland

Location: Woongoolba (Gold Coast), Queensland
n Employment Type: Full-time | Shift Work Required
n Competitive Hourly Rate + Penalties + Super

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Operate and monitor vacuum pans for the crystallization of raw sugar
n
- Adjust process parameters to ensure optimal yield, quality, and efficiency
n
- Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards during operations
n
- Record process data and report on equipment performance and production quality
n




- Work closely with the shift supervisor and maintenance teams to troubleshoot operational issues
n
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment
n

Requirements:

n

n
- Proven experience as a sugar boiler (or similar role in sugar processing)
n
- Strong understanding of the pan floor and crystallization process
n
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
n
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends during the crushing season
n
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast‐paced environment
n
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
n

- Previous experience at a sugar mill in Australia
