Job Description

Rushway Transport is a locally owned transport company running a fleet of modern Kenworth, Mack and Volvo trucks, and associated trailers. Due to fleet expansion and increased workload, we are seeking a fulltime heavy vehicle mechanic with outstanding aptitude for the job, solid work ethic and a desire for long term employment at our Rocklea depot.

The role will require you to repair and service a variety of heavy trucks and trailers and will include:

n

Carrying out scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs

n

Fault finding, diagnosing and repairing problems as required

n

Maintain, test and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems and hydraulic systems

n

Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions and engines

n





To be successful in the role, you will possess the following:

n

Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle/Diesel Mechanic

n

Ability and willingness to train apprentices

n

Ability to work to schedules with strong time management skills

n

A valid driver's license – HR/MC license is highly desirable but not essential

n
