Job Description
The Chance
n
We are working with a private equity backed distribution business who is at a pivotal point in its technology journey. They are embarking on an enterprise-wide ERP implementation across finance, supply chain, distribution, procurement, field service management, and CRM. We are seeking an Interim Program Director to take full ownership of this program through go-live and post go-live remediation, forecasted for end of 2027. The role will be hybrid working in Western Sydney.
n
The Role
n
This is a hands-on, interim engagement for a seasoned Program Director with a demonstrated track record of delivering ERP programs in product-based businesses. You will step in at a critical juncture: platform selection is imminent and the program structure needs to be established quickly.
n
Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer and Chief Executive Officer, you will own end-to-end delivery accountability and act as the primary interface between the business, the advisory partner, and the systems integrator.
n
This role does not require a technical PM - this is a functional delivery role.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Own the end-to-end program plan, including milestones, dependencies, critical path, and go-live readiness across each deployment cluster.
n
- Establish programme governance and structure from the ground up, driving pace and accountability across all workstreams.
n
- Lead a cluster-based rollout approach, ensuring each geography and function is fully scoped, resourced, and de-risked before proceeding.
n
- Manage the advisory partner and systems integrator, holding both accountable to scope, timeline, and quality commitments.
n
- Work closely with internal subject matter experts across finance,
supply chain, distribution, and field service to capture requirements and drive change readiness.
n
- Maintain clear governance and reporting cadences for the CIO and executive stakeholders, translating program complexity into plain business language.
n
- Proactively manage risks and scope, identifying issues early and implementing pragmatic solutions to keep the program on track.
n
n
What You'll Bring
n
n
- A proven track record as a Program Director with end-to-end ownership and accountability for enterprise ERP implementations of comparable scale and complexity.
n
- Strong experience in physical product, inventory, or supply chain businesses is a must. Backgrounds in distribution, wholesale, or similar product-based industries are well suited to this role.
n
- Exposure to tier-one ERP platforms (SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite) with solid functional understanding across finance, supply chain, and distribution modules. ...
n
- Demonstrated ability to manage external advisory and implementation partners concurrently, holding vendors accountable to scope, timeline, and quality.
n
- Experience with phased or cluster-based deployment approaches, and the ability to operate effectively across complex, multi-site environments.
n
- Hands-on and in the detail, comfortable leading delivery with lean resources and navigating ambiguity with confidence.
n
- A clear and credible communicator across business and technology stakeholders at all levels.
n
n
To be eligible for this role, you must be available immediately or on short notice and hold full Australian work rights without restrictions for the duration of the engagement.
