Lead one of Airlie Beach's best-known restaurants

La Tabella Italian is a long-standing, high-volume restaurant in the heart of Airlie Beach.

n

We are looking for an experienced Manager to lead our front-of-house operation and help bring the clear vision we have for La Tabella's next chapter to life.

n

You will be responsible for running the venue under management, training and developing the front-of-house team, and ensuring La Tabella's service standards are maintained consistently across every shift.

n

This role is for someone who enjoys leading from the front, developing people and continuously improving how a great restaurant operates.

n

We are looking for a hands-on hospitality leader who understands people, service, standards and numbers — someone who can listen, take direction, turn ideas into action and get the whole team working towards the same goals.

n

What you'll be responsible for

n

n
- Taking full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the venue
n
- Leading the front-of-house team and setting the standard every day
n
- Recruiting, onboarding, training and developing high-performing staff
n
- Maintaining consistently high service standards across every shift
n
- Working closely with ownership to bring La Tabella's vision and commercial goals to life
n
- Building a team aligned with the venue's standards, culture and direction
n
- Creating effective rosters and maintaining strong labour control
n
- Driving guest satisfaction and responding to feedback
n
- Managing bookings, functions and customer enquiries
n




- Working closely with the Head Chef to maintain strong communication between front and back of house
n
- Monitoring stock, ordering and beverage performance
n
- Handling complaints and resolving issues professionally
n
- Maintaining presentation, cleanliness and compliance
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve sales, service and profitability
n
- Turning agreed changes into clear systems, staff training and consistent execution
n
- Creating a positive, accountable and professional workplace culture
n

What we're looking for

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- Proven experience managing a busy restaurant or hospitality venue
n
- Strong leadership, training and team-development ability
n
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
n
- Experience managing wages, rosters, stock and operating costs
n
- A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience
n
- The confidence to make strong day-to-day decisions while remaining aligned with the venue's direction
n
- The maturity to communicate openly, respond well to feedback and follow through on agreed priorities
n
- The ability to remain calm, organised and effective during busy services
n
- Strong food, wine and service knowledge
n
- Current RSA
n

n

Experience in a high-volume restaurant environment will be highly regarded.
